Automated pointing of the video-camera to the object, selected for shooting
The device DirectionFinder allows the camera to follow the necessary object to be shot automatically. The infra-red radiation sensor must be fixed on the active camera platform. A special infra-red radiator must be installed in the place, which must be reflected on the still. If the source of radiation is detected, the camera holds this dot in the center of the view. The radiator can be fixed on the movable object, for example, on the automobile. The illuminated light, towards which the sensor reacts, is invisible. The distance, along which it will be detected, depends upon the radiator's power. The distance makes approximately 100 meters, if the radiators for the night view cameras with the power of 20 W are used. The radiator is fed from the signal modulator. The necessary source differs from the other accidental sources due to the signal modulation. The reflected light, for example, the infra-red laser, may be also used for fixing of the place, assigned shooting. But the lasers with such capacity are quite expensive and may cause harm to the person's eyesight. The device switches on between the receiver and the servo. The gyroscope may be gradually connected. If the non-neutral signal comes from the control panel, the camera will submit itself to the operator. Seeking for the automated operation of the device, it is necessary to lower the control stick of this channel. The whole model, not the camera, may be pointed to the target with the help of this device. If the reverse is switched on, the model, on the contrary, will avoid the fixed direction. If several radiators are gradually installed on the ground, the model will move along the fixed route (the device must control the helm of direction). Work with the device is not finalized yet. The commercial version is supposed to be introduced till the summer of the year 2010.
